Photography has been my passion for over 30 years since I put hands on my Grandpa’s old Voigtlander 35mm, Dad had one too but I could never get the hang of it and was put off by the processing time and costs however meddled with a Nikon FE with 50mm Nikon lens and a Sigma 100-200 mm zoom for a few years.
I'm originally from the west coast of Scotland now living and working in the Telford and Ironbridge area and also travelling regularly between Shrewsbury and South Shropshire as well as Scotland, Wales, Europe and beyond, I have rekindled my passion with a digital Nikon coolpix E4200 and quickly upgraded to a Nikon D50 18-55mm Nikkor and a Sigma 70-300mm zoom.

Recently accuired Manfrotto 190XB tripod with 390RC2 Head and have upgraded to a Nikon D300 and Nikon 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR AF-S DX Lens. Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX DC HSM Lens and Sigma EF-530 ST DG Flashgun added to kit list


Love of the outdoors and travel means landscapes and places come to the fore however a recent interest in rugby, thanks to my son, is expanding my portfolio. Wildlife too has always been tricky, not being able to sit still for too long but the wealth of wildlife in the local area, woodpeckers, foxes, deer, peregrine falcons and many other birds of prey in the area has sparked an interest here too – oh! and the elusive otter in the gorge, yep, I didn’t have my camera with me either but believe me we saw him.
